The Swingin' Richards is an Alternating Golf Course League for golfers who want to play in a relaxed, weekly scheduled 9 hole golf event at 5 different golf courses in the local Salt Lake area.

 

Variety is the Richard's Spice.

If you are offended by the toasting of a birdie made with your foursome or the smell of a cigar in the spring air we are not your league.

In 2004, playing as Team FedEx at Mick Riley Rec league without a FedEx employee in sight, Cris Paulsen, Rico Plautz, Greg McDonald and Scott Garrett became the Swingin' Richards after making a bunch of birdies and came up with the trophies that the

Richards would play for:

 

             The Big Richard

             The Iron Richard

             The Stiff Richard

             The Long Richard

             & The Dick Cup

The league gathers every spring in Mesquite, Nevada for the G3 (Golf, Guns and Gambling) Summit in early March of each year and all Swingin Richards from across the country are invited.

The Swingin' Richards also raise money for charitable causes for Prostate Cancer Foundation, MS Society and the American Cancer Society through local fundraising Golf Scrambles and events.
